What is Yoga NIDRA?

Yoga nidra is a form of guided relaxation and meditation that is often practiced lying down in a comfortable position.

 

The practice is designed to promote deep relaxation and Rest, and involves a series of verbal instructions that leads you through a process of releasing tension in your body, calming your mind, and connecting with a sense of inner peace and stillness.

During yoga nidra you are guided through a series of stages, that may include a body scan, conscious breathing, visualization, and other relaxation techniques.
